The Pro Cut Lawn Care Green Fund is proud to announce grants to three awesome local nonprofits: Absaroka Beartooth Wilderness Foundation, Beartooth Recreational Trails Association, and Jane Ferguson Wilderness Adventures!
What will these grants help accomplish in our community?
- For its second summer, BRTA will be hiring Montana Conservation Corps Youth Crews to work on trails in and near Red Lodge. Beartooth Recreational Trails Association’s dinners for the Montana Conservation Corps crew. BRTA will use community volunteers to cook nightly meals and provide snacks for a crew of 8 for 10 days. The grant will ensure hearty meals and energy boosting snacks to each crew member as they improve the trails we love to use!
- Jane Ferguson Wilderness Adventures helps youth build lifelong relationships with nature through outdoor adventures, science education, team-building, and personal discovery. This year the fun will reach beyond backpacking trips to include year-round activities. With Pro Cut’s assistance, Jane Ferguson Wilderness Adventures will partner with the Boys & Girls Clubs of Carbon County and Northwest College for a low- and high- ropes course trip for local youth.
- Turning the next generation into Wilderness stewards is a lot easier once they’ve swung a Pulaski or dug a water bar on their favorite trail. This year the ABWF will partner with Beartooth Backcountry Horsemen and the Beartooth Ranger District to provide high school students an experience where the work is hard, but the outcome is extremely rewarding. Thanks to Pro Cut’s funding, this trip will be free to all students!

Even better if you donate this summer through the Fun Run you can make your donation go further! Organizations and groups should also start thinking of great ways to make our community green and apply next year!
