Say hello to the three newest faces at the Foundation: Yvonne, Maryvette, and Sarah. Here is a little bit about who they are and what they’ll be working on:
Greetings to the Red Lodge Community. My name is Yvonne Johnson. I am an AmeriCorps VISTA working on eliminating poverty in the area. I am a transplant from Las Vegas, Nevada where I lived for eight years prior to my serving with the Peace Corps, Morocco (2012-2014). I am very excited to be here and look forward to meeting everyone in the community. If anyone knows where I can continue to hone my Tango and Salsa dancing skills…I would be most thankful!
Maryvette Labrie is our new amazing accountant. A long time, active Red Lodge resident- she has participated in all 11 fun runs! She wears many hats in our community like being on our City Council. Baptized in Mendosa, Argentina, she has traveled in over a dozen countries riding camels in the Sahara and hiking in the alps. We’re lucky to have her!
Hi I’m Sarah Bierschwale (pronounced Beer-sh-wall, loosely translates to wave of beer). I just started at the Community Foundation as Outreach Coordinator and will be working on communications and nonprofit services. I spent the past few years working in Alaska’s Denali National Park and have worked and traveled seasonally throughout the West since graduating college. I LOVE Montana and I’m excited to explore this beautiful area hiking, skiing, running, and fly-fishing (recently learned)!
Stop by and meet them in person at our office!
