Meet the Charities serving our neighbors that are participating in this years Fun Run for Charities!

Red Lodge is extremely fortunate to have a number of nonprofit, volunteer organizations making a significant and positive impact in our community. Sixty-one of these worthy organizations depend in large part upon donations made through the Annual Fun Run for Charities. Today’s article describes those nonprofits whose primary mission is enriching the lives of all residents by Serving Neighbors.

These community-minded organizations focus on some of the most pressing needs of our community. BareTooth Cupboards Food Bank is dedicated to reducing hunger in Carbon County by providing nutritious food to individuals in need and by engaging in outreach and advocacy.

Bridger Community Food Bank is a community effort to combat hunger with enough food to provide for the needs of the communities of Bridger, Fromberg and Belfry using a volunteer network and community support.

Friends of the Bridger Public Library are improving community safety during winter library hours and public events by enhancing lighting around the library’s front entrance.

The Red Lodge Lions Club provides maintenance and improvements at Red Lodge Lions Park, awards scholarships, and does free vision screenings at local schools along with eye glasses and exams for those in need. In addition, the Lions sponsor a grants program to help finance other worthy community groups and projects.

Rotary Club of Red Lodge serves the community with a special emphasis on Carbon County youth through leadership training, youth programming, and involvement with young people.

The Senior Ark Fund supports seniors in coping with unexpected hardships.

The Red Lodge Area Community Foundation connects people and builds a resilient community by developing and supporting programs for the arts, youth, early childhood, poverty, community health and volunteerism.
