Red Lodge Hosts 2017 Fun Run 14 Supporting Local Charities – “Giving for Good”

Red Lodge is extremely fortunate to have a number of nonprofit, volunteer organizations that make a significant and positive impact in our community. These 56 worthy organizations depend in large part upon donations made through the Annual Fun Run for Charities. This article describes those nonprofits whose mission is to enrich the lives of all residents.
Serving Neighbors. These community-minded organizations connect and focus on the pressing needs of our community. BareTooth Cupboards Food Bank is dedicated to reducing hunger in Carbon County by providing nutritious food to individuals in need, including support for Harvest Hope, Red Lodge High School’s new food pantry. Beartooth Industries and Homes encourages, supports and assists each person with special needs to make choices in his/her life and to expand his/ her opportunities. Bridger Community Food Bank is a community effort to combat hunger with enough food to provide for the needs of the communities of Bridger, Fromberg and Belfry using a volunteer network and community support. Operation Second Chance supports couples’ retreats, amputee skiing, horseback riding and hunting/fishing in Montana for combat wounded, injured and ill veterans and their families. Red Lodge Friends of the Library helps preserve and strengthen the Red Lodge Carnegie Library and creates additional awareness and appreciation of the library services. Red Lodge Lions Club supports maintenance and projects at Red Lodge Lions Club Community Park, scholarships, and eye glasses and exams for those in need. Rotary Club of Red Lodge raises funds for youth programs to support young people in our community. Senior Ark Fund supports seniors through episodic financial needs.
