Red Lodge Hosts 2017 Fun Run 14 Supporting Local Charities – “Giving for Good”
Red Lodge is extremely fortunate to have a number of nonprofit, volunteer organizations that make a significant and positive impact in our community. These 56 worthy organizations depend in large part upon donations made through the Annual Fun Run for Charities. This article describes those nonprofits that allow for the continued evolution and growth of our community.
Resilient Community. Charitable organizations grow communities and teach us the value and reward of teamwork. Nonprofits dare us to dream and make the impossible their mission and inspire us to be better people. Beartooth Front Community Forum seeks to preserve and enhance the quality of life along the Beartooth Front through civic dialogue at annual Public Forums. Carbon County Resource Council is comprised of local citizens to promote the responsible use of natural resources and work on local issues that affect our unique quality of life. Red Lodge Area Community Foundation connects people and builds a resilient community by developing and supporting programs in the arts, youth and early childhood, poverty, community health, and volunteerism. Red Lodge Proud and Beautiful is a subcommittee of the Red Lodge Area Chamber dedicated to events and projects that enhance our downtown including Baskets on Broadway, 4th of July Fireworks and the Christmas Stroll. Roberts Community Foundation has no overhead and every dollar raised is spent on programs to enhance the community and school, including beautification along First Street (trees, shrubs and plants) and plantings around the new gateway monument signs. Sally Martin Match Fund supports all participating charities and is a great choice if you can’t choose just one. Sponsorship Fund pays for the operational costs of the Fun Run, offering recognition and marketing opportunities to the sponsors who support its charities.
