Our community has lots of services and resources available and now you can connect to a variety of those providers in one room.

The Foundation excited to present the first annual Community Resource Fair! The event will be Saturday, April 28th from 11am – 4pm at the Old Roosevelt and free lunch and child care will be available. Check out what our community has to offer and grab a bite to eat while your children play and even pick up a box of Girl Scout Cookies!

For two years, the Early Childhood Committee at the Foundation has put on an Early Childhood Resource Fair, focusing on child care and related state and local resources. This year, we have combined forces with Workforce Housing and Resilient Communities, which provide other facets of resources for our community.

Families and individuals will be able to find information regarding affordable housing, health services, funding, children’s programs, child care, and other assistance programs in our area. There will be access to these providers to ask questions and get connected to services that may benefit you including: realtors, lenders, insurance, representatives from the Workforce Housing Initiative; local assistance programs, medical providers, and resources for mental health, public health, and a hard copy of the Carbon County Resource Directory from the Healthy Communities initiative, and child care providers, summer program coordinators, and other family related resources.

In addition to this event there will be a Workforce Housing specific resource fair on April 25th, 5pm-7pm, at the Foundation, 122 S Hauser Ave. Snacks will be provided.  Walk around and see what homes may be available under $200,000, what a community land trust is and how it may help you purchase a home, take the opportunity to talk and ask questions with realtors, lenders, insurance agents, see what down payment assistance, loan programs, education and pre-purchase counseling opportunities exist.

Don’t miss out on the opportunity to get access! Our community is full of many valuable resources, and this is your chance to get a glimpse into many of them in a single event. Stop by for a few minutes or an hour. If you would like to learn more about what will be available, please contact us at the Foundation by calling 406.446.2820, email therese@rlacf.org, or stop by 122 S Hauser Ave.
