Coming Together!

These people come together and share their talents as highly engaged volunteers, full and part time employees, and interns. Their efforts equate to 10 full time positions and their impacts are immeasurable!

An Amazing opportunity is before us! A very generous person has gifted us with a Challenge Match, up to $20,000, inspired by their belief in this community! This means that every unrestricted donation, donated to the Foundation by December 31st, will be matched-making every dollar count even more. Will you join me in raising $40,000? Together, we will build important community assets, through engaged dialogue, culminating into effective actions that improve lives and community. That’s our secret mojo. An inclusive community approach has been the key to our community character and provides the rigor that strengthens and builds trustful community connections for the long term. We are all in this life together.

Every day, I am in awe of community passion inspired by Volunteer driven initiatives connected through a wide variety of Foundation resources. This year we invested heavily in strengthening these efforts by providing resources like financial, human, physical places, and multi-faceted communication channels. As Coretta Scott King said,

“The greatness of a community is most accurately measured by the compassionate actions of its members, a heart of grace and a soul generated by love”.

My hope is that the spirit of Mrs. King’s words resonates throughout this holiday season. Let’s celebrate coming together to strengthen community in 2017 and joyfully anticipate what 2018 may hold for all of us.
